21 Days On This Tank Of Propane

…..that’s not bad especially since we had some awfully cold days and nights below freezing.  I knew the tank was empty this morning as soon as I saw the red light in the kitchen…

Did I mention that I love straw and bubble wrap??

I got a lot accomplished today including going out to do the laundry.  It’s awesome to have a house full of clean clothes, sheets etc. :)

I haven’t found the perfect desk yet and I am in no hurry since I’m really happy with the setup that I have now.  I guess I’ll turn my table around the other way, remove the other piece so that I can have full use of the drawer tomorrow.  I still can’t believe I did that.

I ordered seeds in the middle of the night last night.  It would have been so easy to order a kit, but I ordered separate packs and only for veggies that I like and actually use.   I ended up using a site that was mentioned on one of the blogs that I found on the sidebar of Kat’s  blog.  The company is called ABCeeds . I just got an e-mail from them and they are on their way.

I’m thinking about starting them in old cut off plastic bottles to keep my pussy out of them while I’m gone from home.  I have also decided to plant them in containers so that I can move them if necessary since there will be  a lot of shade in this yard come summer.  I’ve got a lot of learning to do, that’s for sure.

Couldn’t resist…this was from work last night….

We probably won’t see any sun until Saturday.  Sleet and rain is on the way.

  1. That's a great idea to plant the veggie seeds in cut off plastic bottles. There is a ton of information and useful tips on the net. Good Luck and here's to some nice tasty vegetables on the plate. What have you ordered?

  2. I ordered salad greens, broccoli, tomatoes, kale, onions, chives, beans and some herbs.
Yes...there is a ton of info on the net. LOL..I've been researching for weeks now.

  3. Isn't just so great the stuff that you can buy on-line now? I'm working on a small artwork project and I'm getting all the bits for it on-line now and it's cheaper than going round loads of different shops looking for them too. Plus I love all the stuff arriving in the post.

I'm just a lazy old git I know.

  4. Joe...no I don't consider it being lazy, but saving time. I can't tell you how many times I have gone from store to store trying to find something, or they'll be out of it. It's so much better online.

  5. Thanks for the link Tango. Pretty soon I'll be doing the step by step thing on starting seeds. I got a couple big bags of pop bottles myself for transplants this year. I need to round up some more cow mineral tubs for container growing too. getting stuff online is great, especially for those of us way out from any kind of decent city. Some stuff you just can't buy from chinamart.

  6. mmpaints...I'm busy collecting stuff too. What are cow mineral tubs? I still have to order that meter so that I won't kill everything.

  7. You sound so much like me. Happy when chores are done, arranging this, rearranging that. I wonder if they have a name for us. Nesters? Love the new desk by the way!

  8. Mom of Three....lol, it's probably a disordered that you and I have.

Love the desk too. I'm so glad I found it.

I know it is only the ramblings and rants of one woman, but I would love to hear from you.
