Challenges of living in a small space

I have roughly 350 sq. ft. of space.  When you take away the non removable items like, the kitchen, bathroom, closets, cabinets, and bed, that doesn’t leave much to play with.  Every time I add something to my home something has got to go away.  It doesn’t help that I’m anal about keeping it clutter free and organized.

Sunday I picked up the propane heater that I found on Craigslist.

It is rather large and I was worried about the heater taking up so much space in the winter time….so my desk went to Kenny and Cyndi’s house.  With a little rearranging, I’ll be able to move the heater into the living room, kitchen area and won’t have to worry about anything getting too close to it.  The efficiency of the furnace in a travel trailer sucks and I try not to use it so that it won’t eat up my propane.  This heater should take care of that problem.  I’m thinking of running the propane hose through the window to a tank on the outside.  Hopefully I’ll be able to find a cheap tank on Craigslist before it gets cold.

This is what it looks like after two days of moving stuff around.

I just noticed that the shelf unit isn’t as full of stuff as it used to be.  Funny, the longer I live here the less I seem to need.

So far I’m happy with it, but you know that can change at the drop of a hat. :)

  3. Because you keep it clutter-free, it doesn't look cramped. It looks downright roomy!

  4. Donna....It is roomy. Next time I'll go for something half the size. You should have seen it when I first got it. It had that butt ugly hide-a-bed and those awful kitchen benches and a huge kitchen table in it.

I know it is only the ramblings and rants of one woman, but I would love to hear from you.
