Got Desk?

LOL....I do!!  Found one that's perfect on Craigslist for 35 bucks....with drawers!!!!

The guy tried to help me get it in the back seat of the Evil Twin and we probably would have been able to if we would have removed the legs, but he said that he would bring the desk to me on Monday. With the extra storage I'll be able to clear a lot off of my shelf unit which will then hold plants.

The seeds were in the mailbox when I got home last night.

I was soooo tempted to open the sealed envelope, but I managed to leave it alone. No point in putting the cart in front of the cart, eh? Found out that my sister will have a garden this year, so I will share my seeds with her.  We will have to figure out what to do about her squirrels.  She has a ton of them going in and out of her back yard digging up anything that she plants.  Mostly due to her idiot neighbor that feeds them instead of letting the squirrels fend for themselves.  Ha, they probably think that my sister's yard is their dessert!  Rat Bastards!!

  1. Well done on the desk Tango. I can't wait to see how it looks in your little home.

I just love that term rat bastard and I am so going to steal it the next time I am having a rant about someone.

My main problem with planting things are the rabbits. There are hundreds of the little buggers running around.

  2. Gypsy...thanks. Can't wait until Monday, when I make that desk mine. :)

Actually I stole rat bastard also...from Guy at "Astoria Oregon Rust". It's also his fault if you see me using "nifty" or "swell".

I'm going to have rabbit issues two. I'll let you know if anything I find really works.

  3. Tango - the desk looks awesome!

as for seeds and planting and "rat bastards" (bahahahaha!) - have you considered container gardening? normally if the seeds/seedlings are planted in containers above the ground the small critters won't go near them? i am not sure if this is really true but i have read about it on many sites.

anyway - who cares - sooo glad to see that you got some seeds! i am planting mine next week in home-made peat pellets that i made from toilet paper rolls - they're awesome! i will be doing a post about it (with pics) next week - i will let you know by leaving a comment here where to find the post on the CPN!

hope all is well my friend!

    (hmmm...word verification is "wormas"????)

  4. Kymber... I can't wait to get it.

Yes, I want to plant in containers. I hope that it does keep the critters away. It will also come in handy since it's pretty shady back here and I can move them. Plus, I think it will cut down in water usage. I want to plant potatoes in tires like you do. Does this work with sweet potatoes?

Tell me more about home made peat pellets. Can't wait to see the photos.

Hope all is well on your end too. :)

  5. Squirrels are "Tree Rat Bastards."

I was responsible for "Nifty"? I don't recall nifty.

Now you need to get a farmer hat.

  6. Guy...lol
I thought nifty was yours too.
Farmer hat??? I don't think so. I noticed that most female farmers have bigger breasts. So I hope to add a few inches to mine.

  7. Love the desk. Looks like it's in good condition, too. I think I may have to peek at my Craig's List in a moment or two.

I know it is only the ramblings and rants of one woman, but I would love to hear from you.
